Seeing Red

We all know colour blocking is going to be a massive trend for this season - from catwalk coverage to the overflow of spring/summer shades on the high street - but have you noticed the bright red trouser micro trend?

While couture floats down the runway the real place to look for what to be wearing in the coming weeks is the streets - magazine staff, buyers, stylists and bloggers all get snapped and showcase what we should have been wearing yesterday.

The colour most have been seen in harks back to 1940s Hollywood starlets wearing pillar box red lipstick. But the variations in style, cut, fabric and styling brings it bang up-to-date.

As with all micro trends this won't be long lived so if you're feeling daring jump on the scarlet pant wagon now.

These daring divas at New York and Milan a/w 2011 fashion weeks are already ahead of the curve.
